Decription : I was on my way out of Target when I saw a young woman holding a cardboard sign asking for a new pair of boots. She was drenched from the rain and obviously freezing. Her boots had holes in them. I turned around and asked if I could buy her some. Her face lit up and you could tell that she instantly felt lighter! I felt like I needed to bring her in with me and have her pick them out. She already knew what she wanted! I also bought her a couple of pairs of socks (since those were drenched too). Sam is a sweet girl looking for a job and a new place to live. I'm praying she finds that and more. I'll admit that posting acts of kindness have been challenging for me. I've worried about what people would think, and if they'd wonder if I simply post these for recognition. We need something new on our newsfeed. We need to step out and help people when the opportunity arises. And we need to talk about it. Matthew 5:14-16 says- "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." By loving people, I give them the opportunity to see The Father's heart. And by talking about it, I give others inspiration to do the same. Sam blessed me tonight #1000acts
